Field & Stream 12' Eagle Run Kayak

Anybody on here own one of these? I've been in the market for one for a while and I'm about ready to buy. I've never been in a sit in, only sit on's.

I checked one out at Dicks and thought it was a pretty good boat. I ended up buying the Ascend though.

I bought one about a month ago. I like it a lot but don't have experience with any other kinds. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dick's has them on sale this week for $350. I'm on the plus side at 6' 7" 300 lbs and really don't know if I would be better off with a sit in or on top. I don't plan on fishing, mostly just paddling around. I looked at the Ascend as well this morning at BPS. It was $479.

Yes, I have but I've got my mind set on the kayak. Every time that I go to Florida, I say I'm gonna rent a YOLO but never do. Maybe next time.

since your the size of a NFL football player you should try before you buy. I know the backpacker has certain weekends where you can test out different models

I went ahead and purchased the F&S Friday and finally got to try it out in my subdivision lake today. I think I found my new addiction.

Regarding the pic of the dog on the paddleboard. I've got a chocolate lab that I think would actually die if I got in a kayak out in the pond and he was left out. It would simply kill him on the bank or he would spend the rest of the time swimming around the kayak trying to climb in.
