Feathers are flying and turkeys are dying, part two...

So it's been a fast and furious 24 hours in Nebraska. The turkey population has taken a bit of a hit here, but nothing a little shoe leather and some guerrilla warfare couldn't take care of.

Finished the season with 4 longbeards this year. An Osceola and these three Merriam/Rio hybrids. Sad to see the season end, but looking forward to 2016.




These three knuckleheads are still on the loose!

Crazy how differently colored the tail feathers are.

Hunting private with an outfitter I've used for the past four years. Public is nearby, some guys at the same hotel did okay. IMHO, private is pretty much the only way to go. Asking permission just doesn't work anymore.

I have a buddy up there with a group. Using a guide, his group whacked 3 yesterday.
