Who has one?
I've kille squirrels with everything from my Single Six revolver to my Predator Recurve
(just one with each), but my favorite squirrel weapon is my Marlin 39 .22.
It's a lever action carbine with 2-7x33 Redfield and it can't wait to drop some tree rats this year.

Nice! I have an old Savage .22 semi-auto with a 3-9x32. We hunt the Tennessee River bottoms that have those towering oaks all over the place.

Benjamin .22 Pump Air Rifle

Killed more squirrels with this than any of my other arsenal. Pretty quiet, so you can kill multiple out of the same tree without scaring them off between shots.

20 gauge Wingmaster. Can't wait to shoot some doves with it in a couple weeks and then some tree rats a few weeks after that.

I might have to invest in one of those. I've been using my Browning sweet 16 for a long time now.

I've always just used my 870 12 gauge. Been thinking about a 10/22 lately for the tree rats.

Do it.
Squirrels are much more fun with a .22.

Pow pow always said shotgun before deer season and .22 after deer season. I've never owned a .22, so it's just been the shotgun.

If I ever asked him why, I don't remember. We hunted mostly oaks, so I think it had something to do with the leaves getting in the way in the fall or something. He only used the .22 on the crows in his yard, and the occasional wood pecker.

.22 is quieter and wouldn't scare off the deer
