I am partial to .308 as an all around catridge.

If you're saying purely bolt gun, centerfire?

.300 Weatherby.

280AI is up there for me

I'm a bigger fan of the 7mm express......

Yes, I do know the 280 and 280ai are different rounds. Just poking fun at the discussions had on here about .280 vs 7mm express...

But I would agree with you. A great choice. Just have to reload or catch hell finding ammo.

257 weatherby is up there, 6.5 creedmoor is up there, but 6.5 Grendel is probably my favorite caliber. I have one in an AR but I'd really like another one in a lightweight bolt gun like a kimber.

If I had to have one caliber it would be 6.5 Grendel for me. Will take down deer and hogs. Will hit with energy out to 1000. Cheap to plink with at $0.25cpr. I don't k ow if it is my favorite but if I were to choose just one it would be the 6.5 Grendel.

If we're talking hunting round, it's my 30-06.
Been exclusively shooting this gun and round since I was 12 (19 yrs).
But I also love my 30-30.
And my 6.5 creed I bought last year is sweet as well.
I buy new rounds every couple years, but always go back to the browning 06.
