Prayers to the family of the gentleman that passed. From what I hear, he met an airboat coming out of a canal he was going into on Mud Lake and both went the same way trying to avoid each other. Airboat went on top of the mudboat and crushed the guy. Sad event.
Be careful out there guys

Damn, my son was on the other end of the Bayou today. I wonder if the airboat was from the swamp tour folks on Hwy 90?

I believe it was an airboat from the tours next to the launch

How hard is it to execute a port to port pass? This is tragic and completely preventable. Should never happen.

I think it was sudden. They both were coming around a turn. If i had to guess, the airboat couldn't hear him coming and the mud boat couldn't hear the airboat. I've never been on one, but those mud boats seem pretty loud.

Worst part is that the drivers of both were cousins

For country boys cousins are best friends, couldn't imagine.
