BIg Branch was quieter than expected. We had a few come into our spread but for the most part didn't see much. They had a pond about 1/2 a mile behind us that is absolutely loaded with ducks right about now. No one was hunting it and we watched at least 100 birds land in there. Marsh grass was way too high to walk to it with waders on and couldn't find a navigable water way to it from where we were.

I've never seen more woodies in a field getting up as we walked to our blind, getting up 20-50 at a time, over 500. It was amazing to see. At shooting time, however, it was done and we only shot one greenie and a spoon.

Still better than working.

Smoked the grays in Delacroix this morning again, and got a good many really strong reports from north shore area and other parts of SE La. Lots of ducks went to the cleaning tables this morning.
