I fished with a TFO recently. I was impressed with it. Supposedly, that's who the G. Loomis works for now since he sold out his name.

Other than that I have one Dobyn's Rod that is spectacular and 4 or 5 $100 all stars.

Great rod!!! You can really feel anything and everything. I've caught more fish on that rod in 2 years then any other rod I have ever bought.
Good luck to you

I ended up picking up a 7' MH Ghost yesterday.

I am going to put my new Curado on it and spool with 15# Yo-Zuri Hybrid.

It will be used for senko and other TRig soft plastics

If the weather straightens up I hope to try it out next weekend.

I hope those are the fiberglas versions, and not that new fangled graphite stuff.

Pop I picked up a 7'3' MH Ghost as well this wknd. Love the feel of it and seems to have a great backbone for the weight.

Was worried it would be too much like the Veritas I picked up last season at almost the exact length. Got home and compared the two and the Veritas felt like a broom handle compared with the Ghost.

Looking forward to trying it out as soon as the freaking ice gets off the lakes around here in SC.

It feels like a good rod.

Duckett does not give action or line/lure weights on their rods, so I assume its somewhere in the fast action range.

I like that the tip has a little whip to it.

Compliments the new Curado nicely. I am just waiting for my TW order to arrive on Thursday so I can spool it up.

Very nice.

I was at BPS yesterday and picked up a BPS Pro Qualifier reel on sale for $49.99 for my set up.

Fiancee and me got suckered into a timeshare deal for a 5 day vacation which got us $50 worth of BPS gift cards which payed for the reel. Made the reasonable price for the Duckett seem even sweeter.

What kind of warranty does it have? Now that Shimano renigged on it lifetime over the counter warranty, I'm going to need to find a new brand of rod.

Unfortunately it only has a 1 year warranty.

I was on the fence between the Duckett or Kistler, but Kistler also only offers 1 year warranty so I figured I would try something new.

Of course if you purchase a Duckett at Academy, I would assume you could do the in store exchange they are so popular for. I hope I dont regret buying it at BPS.

I think the ghost is one year in store . Not sure how long with the factory . I have 5 ducketts now . After swapping from denali rods they feel like a feather paired with lews lfs reels . I had a moment of weakness last year and bought a dobyns champion extreme . It's a great rod but I coulda gotten 3 ducketts for the price of one dobyns

At first I was very interested in the Kovert rods, until I dug further and further finding not so good reviews to be common.

I have never held a Dobyns, but they seem to be very popular with the tournament fishermen around here. Im like you though, the price tag gets me on those.

I'm leaning towards Dobyns.

That 705 is a sweet pitching rod
