I duck hunted here and there when I grew up in BR, but didn't really take to it full time until I moved to Shreveport. I thought I just sucked at duck hunting and that's why I never killed anything.
I just moved to OKC and damn what a better duck hunter I have suddenly become! Lol. Helps to actually have birds to hunt. Instead of ringneck rodeos and ssssssmallards being a good trip maybe sprinkled with a few passing shots on woodies, now I'm shooting decoying greenheads and sprigs.

I wish I was around for the old days with the stories and pictures of hundreds of mallards. piling into your blind.... But i'm just a young buck who can only dream of such things

Nah not really anymore. The sonsabitches will just hole up in Misery until good water comes available in Arkieland. But the shite ducks go to the marsh regardless.

Being and outsider, no. 1 I can't wait to leave, and 2. it seems "they" really screwed up the Red when they chose a Port and lagniappe bass fishing over a "wild" Red River.
