re: Duck blind argument. What's the difference In a squealer and a tree duck?

Woodies actually squeal, hence the nickname. Whistling ducks chirp.

I'm in Ellick, btw. Common nickname for woodies.

yep same duck. I call them mexican whistling ducks. We are overrun with them down in Houma. My neighbor has a dozen of them at his bird feeder every morning and there are huge flocks flying over my house every afternoon. I think i may put some corn out and duck hunt my back yard 3


ETA: Never heard a wood duck called a squealer either. Always just called them wood ducks.
