Just left Venice after fishing/hunting for the past few days. There are currently people in Cypress Cove launching mud boats and I’m assuming planning on hunting in the am. For the love of God, please do not be one of these idiots. Winds/weather like what are coming ain’t nothing to play with. No duck/goose is worth dying over…

It's just a bit of cold people will survive. No better time to hunt than on a cold nasty morning

Looks like the low is 21 there, and sunny in the morning. They should be fine as long as they are careful and prepared.

Lol go frick with the river in 20-30mph winds with gusts up to 40mph. I wouldn’t wanna run that in my Sporty much less a mud boat…

“Tell me you never been out of the jump in 20kt winds in a mud boat without telling me you have never been out the jump in 20kt winds in a mud boat”
Every year a couple of boats go down, had an ol boy drown going out of the fort a couple of years ago in conditions about the same.

Snowing in Memphis and the temp is dropping like a rock

North winds will push all the water out of the marsh. There will be people stranded with no water if they aren’t careful.

Bundled up and went for a walk here in the Ozarks today. 2in of snow, and a wind sufficient to get the “real feel” to -17.

After about 12 minutes my face was legit in pain, couldn’t have handled much more.

I'm not going hunting, but I've been sick all week and it's getting to -5 in the morning here. Low 20s sucks in a boat, but hiking and hunting it's alright.

A few years back some friends pulled two young guys out the River not far south of the jump right as I was about to launch. Mud boat had taken water in through the intake on the motor. Killed the motor and they were sitting ducks. Boat ended up capsizing. Winds were around 30+ that day and temps were in high 20’s. Scary to see what can happen. Both of them had hypothermia but survived.

Scary to see that in person. Decided to sit the morning in that day.

We almost sunk 3 bay boats and a mud boat in the head of passes on a day with a north wind. I honestly don’t know how we didn’t. We all took on water and I couldnt see the engine of the bay boat in front of us for a bit. Just a rooster tail coming up out of the water. I think it’s gonna be windier tomorrow than when we went. I wouldn’t go.
