Does a trigger job effect the value of a pistol?

Negatively or positively? It would be a lighter pull trigger with a shorter reset, and a much more crisp break. Why wouldn't anyone want that? Do you think with a receipt from a certified armorer you'd ever get that money if you had to sell? Could it increase the value of the gun more than the cost to have it done? How about a sight upgrade?

Is it too personalized, or will they be realized upgrades?

It is a selling point I would think unless it is a "classic" gun where the original parts are desired

Still, it will be diminished in value being used. Like you won't get more than a new one would cost that doesn't have a trigger job

You aren't going to get $900 for a pistol you bought for $800 and had some trigger work done. Won't even get $800

Usually, unless you're altering a collectable.

No, but they're people out there that polish all the bits, rework some shite, change some parts and effectively make it, basically, a 1911 trigger. It's a two part trigger with a long take up, that will not change, with a 7-8# pull at the end. That part and the reset can be completely worked over. The # pull is easy, making it crisp with a short reset will cost you. I want a new front sight as well.

Why didn't you originally go with a 1911?

Don't tell that to people with "custom" Glocks.

I went with the safest gun for me to operate in a time of extreme need. No safety, grip, trigger, or lever, and it has a hammer so I don't glock leg myself. That I think it's cool looking and they don't make 357sig 1911s.

I actually have no problem with the trigger. I love it. It and the PPQ trigger are about neck and neck. I didn't have a problem with any of the other fixes as well on that site.

I thought about getting some TFO's on it. I heard mix things about them though. Maybe a yellow/orange set of meprolights.

To the original question. I do not believe it changes the value of the gun negatively on a non collectable gun.

Hey now, this is a discontinued HK.

ETA: Not going to get $365 (trigger job) and $85 (front sight) out of it though. I don't even want to sell it...likely just buy a 40 cal barrel for it after I get it how I want it.

P2000 357sig LEM V2. I want to make it a V4 though. They quit producing 357sig somewhere through the P2000 run, and never made it in P30.

ETA: totally joking about it being collectable.

From what I'm reading that is just taking off the safety. Is that correct? The charts are different and there is no V4 for P2000 on the chart

Eta: I see the V differences.
V0: CDA (Combat Defense Action) trigger system (SA/DA). Single-action trigger pull of 20 N (4.5 lbf) (+4/-2 N), double-action trigger pull – 51 N (11.5 lbf) (±5 N).
V1: CDA trigger system (LEM). The LEM trigger is a dual-stage trigger that fires from a hammer down position in both SA and DA modes, but has an internal mechanism that is cocked with each cycle of the action. It provides a constant trigger pull of 20 N (4.5 lbf) (+4/-2 N).
V2: CDA trigger system (LEM). Like P2000 V1 but with an increased trigger weight. The trigger pull is 32.5 N (7.3 lbf) (±2.5 N).
V3: SA/DA trigger with a decocking lever mounted at the posterior of the slide to the left of the spurred hammer. Single-action trigger pull of 20 N (4.5 lbf) (+4/-2 N), double-action trigger pull – 51 N (11.5 lbf) (±5 N).
V4: CDA trigger system (LEM). Like P2000 V1 and V2 but with a mid-range trigger pull of 27.5 N (6.2 lbf) (±2.5 N).
V5: Double-action only (DAO) trigger system. Trigger pull of 36 N (8.1 lbf) (±3 N).
