Club I was in had a mixture. Older guys didn't come out until rifle season, sat in the same stands day after day, were back at camp for 9, and rarely killed anything
Most of them were shocked that deer could be killed between 10 am and 3 pm

I hunt for fun first, fun second, and fun third. You want to grind for trophies...great, there are ALOT of places to go do it.
But those that join a piney woods club for 500 bucks and think the culture will change are silly. I don't think adults should shoot every buck thry see.
It's a perspective. I pay 850 bucks, 2100 for the old club. My wife is a coonass, a big part of her not giving me shite about hunting is bringing home deer. So, I do. I generally shoot does, but let a beautiful 2.5 yo stand still too long....
But back on topic, doe days make it harder on all and get smaller bucks shot more often
