Anyone have experience with a bark collar for whining?

Have a 2 1/2 year old GSP who I've been trying to make a versatile dog. On the two duck hunts I've taken her on, she is fine for about the first hour or so, but if the action slows she begins to whine. It is annoying as shite.

Thinking about getting a bark collar, but not sure if it will work or if that is the correct route to take. Any advice would be appreciated

Yeah they do, but, when I took it off of her, she bit me, said it was gonna cost me and called her attorney.

Nope. They quickly figure out exactly what noises they can make without getting shocked. You would need to get a real training collar.

The answer is no a bark collar doesn't detect whining.

ETA: my collar is a shock collar with built in bark limiter

If you get an e-collar you can manually shock the dog when it whines. But there are much better ways of training your 2.5 yo dog.

The dog is probably bored, but it also might be cold...

Hit it in the head with the decoy. Hold the decoy by the weight and swing that motherfricker as hard as you can. That'll stop the whining!

Have an e-collar. Tried shocking here every time she whines. Becomes somewhat of a daunting task...

I'm thinking she's getting bored. She's only hunted upland before this season.

And yes she has had plenty of beating in her lifetime.
