original thread here LINK

My husband and I live in our regular house. Aldo on our property is a small (approx 300 sq foot) wood-frame camp/tiny house. It is built on a sold flatbed chassis so it can be moved easily across to the river camp lot or into the woods for hunting.

Each years I do a yearly spring cleaning and the past 2 years have turned up a large, shedded, snake skin within it.

For now, there is little furniture or a place for a snake to hid (although there is a full fridge not plugged in (could he be underneath)The entire camp could easily be searched in 10 minutes flat or less.

My husband is less than concerned with this snake in my little house. I am going to put down moth balls to repel him and thought that a radio blaring music (perhaps rap with a heavy bass vibration tone to it.

What other measure can I use to run the Snake off. The camp is parked under out treeline and there is a long gully with a shallow mini-bayou a few feet from it.

Help. I love my little camp.It is my little happy place. besides mothballs and using bass heavy music playing loudly 24 hours a day, what are other creative ideas to keep the snakes out.

I just hate snakes and cannot sleep there or even be in there to clean it because I hate snakes THAT bad. Does a product called "smake-away" or "snake-be gone" work?

Extra info. It is a wood-frame camp (built in a flatbed trailer chassis) So that it can be moved across the levee to the family camp and then moved back here to serve as my personal playhouse/ girl-cave.

so it is solid and I cannot find any holes or entry points for the snake. There are no mice (no food) inside to draw in critters.

nope, no rodents although a squirrel got in last year. I blocked his access and he has not been back.

Here is the little camp. It is well up off the ground and as you can see is way back into the wooded part of our acreage.

My husband's only response is the snake is not bothering him. he is not concerned or interested in getting the snake and he laughs when he hears my shrieks when i discover a snake on our proprty.

Oh believe me, I am all for burning anything a snake has lived it. But this is my my little playhouse, my camp, my hideout and refuge when my husband is aggravating the hell out of me.

One day it will be my little school house, or maybe a redneck houseboat or tree house.

Plus, setting it on fair could go badly wrong because it is next to the ammo reloading shop.

My fave story about setting a snake in fire LINK

A woman in Liberty Eylau, Texas, burned down her home while trying to kill a snake by setting it on fire, KHOU reported.

"The homeowner saw a snake and threw gas on the snake and lit the snake on fire. Then the flaming snake slithered to a brush pile. Then the brush pile rapidly went up in flames and the flames quickly spread and caught the home on fire. The house was a total loss.
