Just put my boat down there. Keep in mind this is my first boat and I'm not a local.

What website do you use to look at Delacroix tides? Rodnreeltides.com has pretty detailed charts but the closest they have is Shell Beach. I know it's close to Delacroix but I was told to add 2 hours?? La sportsman has a Delacroix tide chart but its not as detailed as rodnreel.

What is a good way to judge water quality? Went to lake campo on Thursday and I could only see my shrimp about 8 inches down. Probably why we came back with 4 trout and a red. Thanks

Look at the bay gardere location on Louisiana sportsman tide guides.

The west wind has really made the water crappy in Delacroix the past month or so. Most people have been doing better on the north side of terre aux boefs from lake robin east to lake machais. Hopefully soon the water will look better if a southeast and east wind continue.

I thought it was all the digging they're doing in Lake Lery.

Lake campo isn't going to fill an ice chest with trout right now. We saw reds schooled up pretty good last weekend, even in muddy water. When we found patches of clear water, you could see them from 100 yards.

Eta. Clear water can be found but you may have to run around to find it. Plenty of clear water on the south side of the bayou, so I'd suggest looking for lots of grass that will keep it filtered. When you start seeing bass, sheepsheads and stingrays the Reds won't be far away

CRMS or "Crims" is the coastwide reference monitoring system

Pick a site near the target area and it'll give you tides, water quality info, vegetation present, soil quality and a few other parameters.

Thanks for all of the responses. Went out yesterday about 530pm -730pm and put 12 trout in the box on plastics under a cork. Found two good points with moving water and bait. Water was still dirty. Lots of small ones.

I have an 18 foot express so I won't be heading out in Black bay . From what I hear limits on trout in the interior marsh won't happen until the migration in late October early November.
