If 6x magnification + the beautiful sharp illuminator is worth the extra 1K$ And additional weight
Can't go wrong with an acog but by gawd the V is the most clear consumer optic I have ever seen.

To the uninitiated, what's the difference between Acog and vcog?

Variable 1-6 power FFP reticle vs fixed 4 power. Only reason to go Acog anymore imo is if you want to do a clone gun.

DDM V5 w/ lots of custom work
The biggest factor at this point is weight diff.
Taking it in tomorrow to mount both and will decide if the extra 1K is worth it.
The V is so long and heavy (twss) but it's a thing of beauty.
All depends on weight and feel at this point
