Just start stopping at walmarts you pass and looking for bullets. I have stocked up on A LOT just hitting BR walmarts.

I've shot anything and everything through mine with no hiccups. EXCEPT WINCHESTER T-22 AMMO!

Golden Bullet
Thunderbolt
Armscorp Precision
Winchester M22
Blazer CCI
CCI Mini Mag 36 & 40 grain
Federal Premium in the white box
Winchester in the white box (222 & 333)
And I'm sure there is more that I can't remember at the present time. But other than the Winchester T22 I mentioned above I've had no issues with any other ammo I've ran through mine.

I've heard that it will not cycle any of those colibri or quiet load rounds.

Do you know if the Gen 2 has a threaded barrel? Or just the 'cute' accessory changes?

I think they offer that model but its more than $350. Haven't seen it though

Is the lower ready for a 5.56mm upper, or does it need another buffer, et Cetera?

Looks like the polymer lower isn't good to go...

I believe the dimensions on the 15/22 and a standard AR15 are different and a standard 556 or 223 upper will not fit.

The 15/22 does not have a buffer tube w/ spring. Its just a polymer tube for the stock. You can not put a 5.56/.223 upper on this gun.

for $400 though

ETA: Still not finding much ammo for mine here in Ruston. I bought 1000 rounds of M22 .22 40 Grain Round Nose Black Copper. Had to pay $90.00 for it.

Don't feel bad because nobody online has it cheaper. Out of the five places that Slick Guns shows having it, only one really has it. They want $75.00 plus $15.00 shipping. None of the others has it in stock.

You sign up for the emails?

And how close to a Cabelas are you? The best deals I have found involve shipping them to store and picking them up for free whenever I'm in the area.

Man the field and stream here in Lafayette has tons of 1400rnd buckets .22 for $99. You should make a road trip.

I'm in Ruston. Just went to Cabelas store locator and it's showing BR is the closest store. I get emails, and order 9MM ammo regularly from SGAmmo. I get them from CDNN Sports and Palmetto too. None of them has much of a selection right now.

I may have to go to Shreveport to find some of it cheap. Might check out Ron's in Bossier for it.

CDNN wants $139.99. plus $15.00 shipping for that. They're the only place online that I could find that item. Sportsman's Guide and Natchez Shooters show up as having it but their sites say they're out.

I've got to go to Lafayette Monday. Maybe I'll look there. Might make a run from there to BR Tuesday.

Anyone have any ideas where I should look in Lafayette?

I think they have a couple of Academys, that Field and Stream joint looks like a good place to start

Lafayette Shooters has some 300 and 325 round boxes on their website.

Thank you guys for the help. This has turned into the unofficial M&P 15-22 thread!

If you catch the Academy's right they have the best deal on the 1400 round tubs hands down I have found. Went Monday, bought a tub. Left out, came back in and bought another tub. Left 1. $79.99 per tub plus tax.
