Youre switching from r/h to l/h? Im assuming shoulder surgery or something?

No it's a vision issue. I Very poor incorrect able vison in my right eye, and years ago when I bought my bow I have now (my first) I was talked into the right handed and i never really shot it well bc I couldn't really see through the peep sight. So last year I just started shooting left handed with my rh bow and actually made 2 kills (my first) so I decided this year id go ahead and switch to a true LH bow

I aint gonna lie, i laughed when i got to the luke bryan picture.

I say you hunt with whatever you want. But i dont think you will get the same satisfaction with a crossbow as you would with a compound.

frick the haters. And get what you want. As long as it's legal, I don't see anything wrong with it.

This reminds me, I have a Xbow in my closet I got as a gift I need to sight in.

I know a local Nuclear Physicist named William who got a crossbow 2 years ago, despite my warnings against it. He started shooting it in his yard some. 2 months later he's fired from his job, his wife and kids moved to her mothers, he's installed an above ground pool in his FRONT yard and he added the middle name Todd to the first name he shortened to Billy. 2 months after that I catch Billy Todd breaking in my house stealing my light bulbs so he and his girlfriend cousin Tiffany Jean could smoke some meth out of them. After a year of owning the crossbow and after he was excommunicated from the scaffold builders union he's working for cash helping his ole lady's brother in law put a roof on his double wide when he falls off, breaks his neck a dies. Or that's the story their telling everybody anyway. I'm sure you could do a half assed attempt at researching crossbow owners and find tons of similar stories. I'm not saying you can't break the cycle. I'm just sayin

Where you at and what might you sell that crossbow for? You know if you were to list it on Craigslist.

The bow I use now? It's a bear strike right hand. I think 70#pull.

Hunter's Friend has a few LH bows for sale. That PSE DNA SP at $400 is a great deal. So is that Obsession Evolution at $650.

During rifle season.
This rebuttal makes no sense. If you are against crossbows because it makes it too easy, you should be against high powered rifles. Your excuse for using a rifle is it is legal because it is "rifle season." Well, crossbows are also legal........

The only people who can truly shite on crossbows and not be huge hypocrites, are those who use compounds or re-curves all year long.

I'm only against crossbows being used during archery season. I've pretty much quit using rifles and compound bows and plan on using a recurve exclusively this year, but I have no issues with either of those being used during their seasons. Crossbows do not fit the spirit of archery season and I think that they should only be legal during rifle season. How does that not make sense?

This is an argument that makes sense to me. And I dont necessarily disagree. However, at this point, crossbows are legal during bow season. So saying during "rifle season," is invalid.

This and it also seems it'd be less fun shooting in the backyard as hard is it appears to cock it.

Recurve only hunter for 16 years. I'd say if it gets you into the woods, get it. It's all in what you get out of the hunt. I'm not an elitist. I've been in hunting parties with compounds and crossbows alike. You wanted cons. 1. Bulky 2. You can lose bolts like nobody's business shooting for fun. 3. If you let your guard down, you can get a horrible traumatic finger amputation. I've been on hunts with someone that's killed with a crossbow. They grinned from ear to ear. Didn't look let down that they used a crossbow.
