Any good ideas how to rid my yard and house of crazy ants? I have had the pest control guy come spray twice in 6 weeks. I put out the gel ant bait and that seems to slow them down for a couple weeks. But those bastards keep coming back.

Any help is appreciated.

nope. I made a thread several years ago. We're taken over here by the Baton Rouge airport. Suspend will kill them but they just come back after a week or so.

I had never seen those before that thread. Sure enough, a few weeks after I read it, I saw them at the camp in Shell Beach. Those bastards ARE crazy.

I had flip flops on, they would crawl all over my damn legs but never bite me. I swatted a wasp or something on the ground and they found it...it was like nothing I'd ever seen. Within seconds, thousands of ants were attacking this wasp. He was dead in no time.

I'm just glad they are people friendly. I wouldn't want what happened to that wasp to happen to me.

I do this for fire ants, I'd imagine it would work for what you're trying to do. Pot of boiling water + few drops of liquid crab boil=tons of dead ants

I wanted a organic solution for killing an ant pile in my vegetable garden, used this and was shocked how effective it was. I always come back to a pile of dead ants the next day. I call it Cajun napalm.

So what kills them, the boiling water or the crab boil?

Crazy ants have numerous queens. That's why you can't eradicate them. Cool thing is how they kill fire ants(and every other creature in sight).
They rub acid on their bodies and invade the fireant nests. The acid protects them from the fireants venom.

If you have crazy ants you will not have any fireants in sight.

Fipronil for lawn amd cypermethrin for house border.
You can spray the cypermethrin inside but I will say that its quite strong. I sprayed the inside of my shed about 2.5 months ago and it's still killing roaches.

Is this stuff I can get off Amazon or at a home depot? Mix in water and spray?

Thanks for the answer

Order this, 25% cypermetrine. Kills everything. You're welcome.

That Demon BH posted is the best cypermethrin solution you can find and is what I used.

For the fipronil, here is the link for some online,
LINK

ETA: after reading the Fipronil label...technically you're not suppose to spray it in the yard for whatever reason.. They are saying to spray it as a perimeter spray similar to what I was suggesting to do with the cypermethin. The fiponil not labeled to spray inside however, so you can still get the cypermethrin if you wanted to spray inside too.

ETA2: I'd still spray the shite out of the mounds with the fipronil..

They are both from South America.
Did they come off a ship like the fire ants did?

The gel bait works best, but you have to do it over a period of time. You are probably killing off the colony just to have another one move in and take its place. I also buy bug and spray my lawn around my house. That helps kill all types of bugs off.

Pour gasoline on the ant beds. Every ant is dead in less than 3 seconds.

We had these around my house. They were almost like little sugar ants but bigger. I poured gasoline around my foundation. Haven't seen them since.
