Craft project help: Liner that dry erase marker can write on

I have an arts and crafts project type question.
Anyone know of a spray or spreadable substance that can coat a variety of surfaces, that will allow a dry erase marker to write on it without reacting to or reactivating the substance?
It would also be nice if this didn't leave bubbles or ridges when applied so that the marker can write smoothly.
I have been trying to figure this one out for a while and am getting nowhere.
Maybe the spray on sealant for leaks like the famous ad of the guy boating with a screen door as a hull?
No idea if a marker will leave a streak on that...and I think it is a rather uneven/bubbly surface.
TIA!

Thanks for this!
I was going to apply it either to a rubber surface or a smooth paiper-mache surface.

You can buy spray and brush on paint at Lowes or HD for this.

They have that actual White Board paint that is in that link at those stores?

Home Depot Dry Erase
The spray version is pretty expensive.

Good question.
I need to make the marker surface on the inside of a hollowed half-sphere. E.g. the inside of a bowl.
