I have seen more maiden does in this hunting club than I have anywhere I have ever hunted. This club also has a high number of coyotes. They found out I trapped some my first year in the club so the banned trapping. I am thinking about either calling for trapping covertly to thin the damn things out.

Places where I never hear them, I also see few deer.

Coyotes don't stick around when there is nothing to eat.

Coyotes can do damage to a deer herd. When does drop fawns they are at pretty significant risk.

Gonna start trapping and hunting them at our place. Am open to all tips/suggestions. Never done much trapping except with friends.

About 15-20 miles as the crow flies.

Yep. Just north of El Dorado. Most land in on the Ouachita, just south of Spoon's Bend if you know that area. Other big lease is just outside Eldo city limits.

That's around an hour drive for me maybe less. When I get in I could drive up there one day and show you some stuff.

Alright. We'll have to get together sometime. Got a ton of coons, nutria, beavers too. And been seeing quite a few bobcats on camera the last two years. Have never seen one there in the 12 years prior. 'yotes started showing up in force 2 years ago and have definitely seen a decline in the population, especially young deer.

Sounds good.

Do you have any gear or plan on getting some?

No gear yet. Was gonna go ahead and get some though, but don't know what all I need. Got some friends that trap, but most of them are novices. So, not sure how good the advice would be.

Definitely gonna shoot some. Figure that+thermal imaging scope would do some damage.

Love your first name, when you introduced yourself to me at JD's benefit I said to myself, "well I won't forget that one."
