"Application with the 3 affidavits completed and notarized."

Can someone please explain this part to me.

Let me preface this by saying that I am an amateur with firearms. I want to conceal carry, but I live in Louisiana so I can only open carry unless I get the license.

I also need to prove competentcy with a firearm. I'm not sure where to take the test. Is there someone I can talk to about all of this.

The 3 affidavits are Exhibits A, B, and C of the application form.

Sorry. I just noticed them upon closer inspection. I'm trying to go through the form step by step.

If you apply online you don't need to do the affidavits.

I didn't know this and after submitting online I then printed the affidavits and had them notarized and brought them with me when I went to State Police HQ to do fingerprints. After the prints were done the lady said "thanks and bye" and I asked if they wanted the affidavits and they said they didn't need them since I filed online.

Is prior military service still sufficient as proof of ability to safely operate a firearm?
