So this might be the oddest question asked on this board. Purchased 2 new shirts, one I wore to the beach the other on a fishing trip, and now both have yellow/green stains on them. I used base sunscreen and spray on both one washed after wearing it and the other was soaked in oxy clean before washed. Both are now have the stains, anyone else have this problem before?

You washed them with something that bled onto them.

That's really odd. All of my PFG shirts and shorts seem nearly impossible to stain. I never even have to add any kind of special stain remover... they just seem to wash well.

The only set of PFG anything I've ever really stained was some shorts that I accidentally washed and dried with a fountain pen in the pocket.

You wash them with a stick of chapstick or something maybe?

Rub blue Dawn on stains and allow it to set in. Wash as recommended. Works wonders.

The sunscreen did it, I used bullfrog spray one time and it faded/stained my Columbia shirt.

Imposible to stain? Get a nice glob of hardhead shite on your light colored ones and see what pretty colors it makes.

That's weird, I can't stain mine if I tried. They wash really well.

Switch to bullfrog gel. By the way, if you wear the shirts fishing it doesn't matter if they have a stain. If you wear them everywhere to look like a fisherman, you need to buy a new shirt.

I had the same issue a couple months ago with a white PFG and shitty sunscreen. I washed it and tried oxy clean with no luck. I researched it and supposedly the sunscreen actually oxidizes on the shirt creating a rust stain. Laundry detergent won't do anything for it. I found where someone mixed lemon juice and salt to make a paste and applied it to the stains. It worked like a hero! There's some videos on youtube about it.

Cover the stains with Salt Life or Yeti stickers and you're set.

sunscreen

Has ruined many of my good clothes. This is why I gave the neck gaiters a try. From now on, I don't care how hot it is, I use clothes to cover my skin instead of sunscreen.

I've read that if it contains avobenzone, that's what causes the staining. Apparently zinc based sunscreen won't stain, but I rather not chance it.
