Might go after some trout this weekend depending on the weather. Anyone down this week? This is usually a tough time of the year and I suppose just bay hopping is the best best. What's the word in T-bonne parish?

I fished down there last weekend in my kayak and caught trout on the south side of Deep Saline. Between one of the pcv pipes sticking out and a point in the south shore. I caught about 9 in 12 cast (could have probably caught a limit) but was in a redfish tournament so moved on. Came back to that spot a few hours later and they were still there. Nothing huge but they were there

Had a 16 man trip run out of Dularge this past weekend. Between 6 boats we probabaly caught 400 trout, 60 reds and bunch of other shite. Fishing the falling tide on the edges of Mechant. The fish are small and we probabaly threw back 3 fish for every one keeper but they are down there and we tore them up

Im going to make a trip on sunday. Plan on fishing an area I have never been before. La butte has some nice reds in the marsh though.

With this thread, it seems like everyone will be in Merchant. I hate fishing crowds so I hope it's calm enough to go outside and get on some hammers.
