I wish I knew. I go with a buddy whose dad pays the dues. Next time I'm down there (hopefully next week) I'll try to find out.

I don't fish that area so I can't vouch for any of the points.

Im bringing my camp down to Dularge in a few weeks for the next year or so. I want to see how it goes and if we like it. I'll trade room and board for someone to show me around.

I reckon I can show you a few things in the area. Let me know when you are ready.

I work in Dulac and live in Houma so I'm available most weekends and can make some evening trips as well.

Yesterday was windy. Found chocolate milk all in pelto and pelican lake. Sister lake was clean on the east side but not much fish. Picked up 1 trout and three reds. Merchant sucked arse.

Waking up in the marsh this am with a 10 mph SE wind. Might fish but not real excited about what's in store.

Fished the east side of hwy 55 yesterday. Found a lot of dirty water where it is usually pretty clean. Pulled off into a narrow cut that looked like it was fed by nearby open water. The whole system was gin clear and about a foot deep in most places. Found lots of tailing fish but they were very spooky. Nervous water in every direction. Finally got them to eat on small white gotcha variants and merkin crabs tied on #4's. The key was getting the fly down in the water column quickly without a lot of fuss on the landing. Larger flies that landed heavy would spook fish that you weren't even casting to. Ran out of tags in just a few hours. Tagged lots of 10lb fish and few that we think may have been in the 18-20lb range.

Went south today. Found clean water and ended with 23 trout this am. They were either 2.5 lb fish or 12.5" fish. Not bad.

Made a serious snail trail from Mechant all the way to Cat Island. Water looked like Yoohoo everywhere west. Caught a few fish and tried every artificial in my bag. Give it about another month until the numbers pick back up.

Caught a few fish west but it was tough fishing. Found lots of reds but they didnt want to bite. Water was terrible.
