Scout.com reports...

Angler Toby Lillard shared a video from a friend who found a 55-gallon drum full of largemouth bass, likely intended for cheating in an upcoming tournament. Full video and details below

That's a shame those boys lost out on a rent check this month.

nothing illegal about that until the fish are weighted in. What if those weren't for a tournament ?. Wasn't his property.

Culling balls gives it away.

Bayou, what you think they're for? Give me one possible scenario for having that.

Throw a few cotton mouths in the drum.

Bassholes are pretty easy to spot. That contraption, and culling balls, is all basshole.

Depends on the lake. I fished a tourney where 4 fish totaling 8.5 lbs took 1st.

Wasn't there a cage found at Lake Fausse Point a few years ago? If I remember right it was found right before the Sportsmen Tourny before they did away with it.

It might have been Childrens Miracle.

I remember something similar a few years ago. They were actually caught and charged so I guess that means they weighed them in?

Several years ago there was an FLW pro that was setting the tour on fire his rookie season, catching huge bags everywhere they went. It was found out that he was doing this same thing but with a big plastic box with slits cut in the lid so he could "fish" in it without his partner noticing. Don't see how it was possible, or if even true, but that's what the story was. I do know he was no longer fishing any tournaments, immediately.

Shameful what people will do when money is on the line. I've caught a lot of big fish practicing for tournaments, only to donate to the winners in the competition.

The closest thing to cheating anyone in my boat has ever done is when my partner once jumped in and swam down the line about 8' to unhang a bass from a brushtop. When the first thing to come up out of the water was his hand latched on to a 4 lber I was .

Disclaimer: It was a small "fruit jar" tournament where several of the guys would come in drunk, so obviously the rules weren't real stringent.
