They did come out and dig the ditches out for free when we first moved in because I told them it was completely full of vegetation and I needed a jumpstart with weed eating. I suppose they could seem that as a potential drainage issue though.

I can only speak for LaFourche

Permit is required
Parish no longer installs them.

That wasn't the case 10 years when I should have done mine.

I'm in Lafourche Parish and they installed it for free because it was for a driveway and less than 40ft. But you get what you pay for. The catch Basin is so far out the ground it's useless.

Anything south of the I10/I12 corridor should not use CMP.

We had a neighbor that did that.

A bunch of permits and crap and I think he spent like $3-$K for around 90'.

Check with the parish. In certain places they will place and fill if you buy the culverts.
