This would be my father. Has almost everything that I would know to buy known to the professional outdoorsman.

What new or "cool" products are out there that I could potentially take a look at for him as Christmas gift?

FWIW, he loves fishing (in and off shore) and hunting out of the country. He's not the most "tech savvy" person, however he is willing to read and practice most anything.

I ordered an epirb for my dad after reading the gulf of Mexico story. They are offering $100 off this model right now on the manufacturers website and $50 off lesser models.

I'm getting a WorkSharp for Christmas and I'm pretty excited about it. Sharpens damn near anything with a blade. From pocket knives to skinning knives to kitchen knives. Even machetes or scissors, pruning shears and everything in between.

Measure with Complete Confidence

The Official C#nt Hair Ruler has been painstakingly calibrated using a set of red c#nt hairs stored in the National Archive of Weights and Measures at Cheyenne Mountain. The Official C#nt Hair Ruler finally establishes a world standard for this historic unit of measure.

Engel makes a soft sided cooler that might fit the bill. I've got the camo one and it has worked pretty well.

find out if he has a Boga. If he does not, and i'm not talking about some shitty arse knock off fish grip, a real Boga.

This will make his face light up on Christmas Morning.
It's one of those things avid fishermen always want but for some reason just cannot justify the price for them,,,,,,,,Until they get one and use it and realize it's the greatest fishing tool made.

Agree with Boga or Worksharp. I have a 15lb Boga and want a 30 something serious, but can't justify spending the money. Kinda just waiting on someone to gift me one .

I have the same issue with my Dad every year. A couple years ago, I bought some cool rustic multi picture frames and inserted pictures of all of us (Dad, brothers, Uncles, etc) at the deer camp, fishing, etc. He really appreciated it. Brought back a lot of memories for all of us.

Lately, I've been getting him some beef jerky from the outlet by Bass Pro and BP gift cards. This year I added a clock that is counting down the number of days that Obama leaves office.

Just ordered my dad this. Like yours, he has everything already and is an avid deer and duck hunter. He goes on public land sometimes to deer hunt and bring his little bucket to sit on so I figured this would be a good alternative.

The boga is a great idea for sure.

Also, the website mancrates.com is pretty co and I encourage those trying to find a gift to send to any men or buddies to check it out. Really a cool idea

I agree with the Boga. Wish I had the 30# model. My 15# Boga got bottomed out on a red. Now to bottom that Boga out on a BIG trout.
