Pros: Silence... like stalking.. if you've never experienced it you won't understand.

I have experienced it. I hunt on 360 acres where all members are required to have an electric cart. Some of the silliest shite ive ever seen.

Nothing silly about... it's why you see more game. Excellent for turkey hunting.

How can a silent entry not be beneficial to hunting?

This will be used for hunting (no mud) and the family to run around on. My initial thoughts are the Yamaha may be better but I have no experience with either. Thoughts?
Never owned a Yamaha (or even seen one, or a Club Car, at a sporting clays event). I'm sure they are good. But E-Z-Go carts are 95% of what you'll see.

Parts (factory & aftermarket) and dealers will be much more plentiful with the E-Z-Go.

I have owned a BBB (lousy quality) and currently use a 48-volt Beast (2WD, E-Z-Go frame & shell). Most 48 volt carts will have larger motors (~ 15 h.p) and programmable controllers - you can adjust the "balance" between speed and torque. Decent tires and lift kit will probably be all you'll need to hunt out of a 48 volt E-Z-Go.

Mine is mainly used for sporting clays, and occasionally for hunting. I've decided that if you really need 4WD, you probably need a gas powered cart. I've yet to need 4WD (hunting in Wilkinson County).

p.s. If you happen to buy a good used (or new) "Beast" buggy -- you probably don't want to tell friends that you named it after your wife. Don't ask me how I know this.
