Been looking to get a 17 HMR for a while now and think I may have found the one I've been looking for but haven't heard directly from anyone who owns/shot one. Anybody know anything about the browning t-bolt in 17 HMR?

Made in Japan

Get you a CZ 455. If you want an awesome straight pull (same action style as the t bolt), get a PWS summit

I don't know anything about that rifle. I have the round in a savage with accutrigger. Love everything about the gun except the magazine sticks in your back when you have the sling on your shoulder.

Find a used cz 453, it has the single set trigger.

I own Ruger 77 with the rotary magazine that fits flush. It is a motherfricking tack driver. We play by exploding raw eggs at 100yds and paint balls placed on golf tees out to 60 yards with CCI Vmax rounds. Have killed squirrels at 100 yards with CCI FMJ

A friend of mine has one. I shot it a lot in preparation for a ground squirrel hunt he wanted to take it on. The most accurate load used the TNT (hollow point) bullet. Feeding was finicky. In addition, the action didn't work well unless it was worked rather briskly. Plus, having shot bolt actions as long as I have, I found the T-bolt kinda awkward. On the hunt, he had problems w/ the bullets feeding. He didn't mention it to me until after he'd returned the gun to BPS for repair. He said they told him to use the polymer tipped bullets because, "It's not supposed to use the HP's." I don't know if that statement's true or not, but I don't want a rimfire gun that won't feed every decent load available. It was a really nice looking gun, but I wouldn't buy one nor recommend it to someone. My son's bolt action Savage 17 HMR is twice the gun and costs prob 1/3 as much. I have a Ruger 77/22 and it's a very solid gun. I don't have a CZ, but its's on my "bucket list."

First bolt-action .22 I have owned. It is the best bolt .22 I have fired next to an Anschutz.

Get a CZ and be happy. My 452 is my favorite gun to shoot. Weird thing about my gun is it only shoots really cheap bulk ammo and really expensive ammo well. Everything in the middle won't group at all.

Not much of a difference between Remington Thunderbolts and Federal Ultramatch until 75 yards
