By the way
We are still dealing with this problem.

Bricks still aren't consistent.
Bricklayer has acid washed 2 times now. A lot of it came off, but the upper 1/4 of the wall that was never sacked is still noticably different and the opposite wall still have white blotches. It's a nightmare.

i hate to say this but you jumped the brick layers shite too soon and didn't let him finish his job and the finish on that last 1/4 was never going to match if it was done with a diff technique.

2 questions. this has nothing to do with the brick,
1. is this like most houses in SLa built on a slab?
2. when was the slab poured?

Needed to get on that mortar broom before it dried. I'm not a fan of your finished look

That sucks. He may can try smearing up the 1/4 of the wall that is off, letting the mortar dry then washing it.

I agree. There is no way I would change the technique midway through a job. Especially on the same wall where it's so easy to see the differences right next to one another.

Question. When cleaning these bricks the the mur acid, ive heard it cam sometime lighten the mortar joints on certain places.

Is there anyway at all to stain the mortar joints or get them back to the same color as the rest afterwards?

Man, I hope you get this sorted out.

I know it's a trial building a house.

Stay patient and don't take out your frustrations on those close to you.

It can somewhat lightened them, but it should all be uniform. Assuming you don't miss any spots with the wash. Or vary the strengths of the wash.

My wife freaked on ours too. It won't be so bad in a week Btw first pic is "dirty" second is "sacked". That was the first mistake

Quartre, did you get yours sacked?

We did ours dirty, but had to stop the builder because they were going to sack it.
Even still it looked pretty bad for about a week then it looked great
