Damn. Was there nobody around to give them a tow? The wagon wheel isn't that big. I would have push poled that son of a bitch for 10 hours before calling for help.

I'm a little confused by the article, it doesn't sound like a rescue mission.

Sounds more like motor problems and had to call someone to tow them in. Not sure it deserved an article

Slow news day I guess. Our boat sank in lake potchatrain in the winter and we nearly died of hypothermia but our prayers were answered when an old man in a skiff noticed us bobbing in the water. Pretty sure we didn't get an article written.

The cool thing about plaquemines parish (lifelong resident and outdoorsman), is that if you're out and about and get stranded for whatever reason, the sheriffs department will be dispatched and you will be brought to safety free of charge... If it's like this everywheres please excuse me, I didn't my parish offered this til last week

How did they get wet if they were just having mechanical issues?

We broke down at the mouth of Tiger Pass with a strong out going tide. We just tied off to a post and fished the jetties until we could catch a tow from a returning crew boat. No helicopters were dispatched nor articles written.
