Works like a fricking champ. Just broke it out. Runs on next to nothing.

Why are you not charging your phone too.

BioLite's patented technology converts heat from the fire into usable electricity via a thermoelectric generator. This powers an internal fan for improved combustion, creating a smokeless portable campfire that you can enjoy in your backyard or out on the trail. Surplus electricity is sent to the USB port for charging devices. Setup is easy, fuel is free, and big beautiful flames are roaring in a matter of minutes.

$130 for a fire holder that charges your phone? Damn.

Yea it was a gift. Not just for charging shite but has a pot attachment for water, etc. Weighs next to nothing, runs on very little fuel (twigs and shite) and can charge shite like a light or phone if needed. We did marshmallows and smores over it. It was lit in no time and is efficient as all hell. Once the high speed on the fan motor kicked in holy shite it was an inferno.
Perfect for a bug out scenerio for you peppers. A buddy has one and he found a stainless pitcher that is just biggest than this and everything fits inside with the lid of the pitcher on. We fastened a hasp to keep it inside.

Very quiet. If I get too tomorrow I'll crank it up and post a clip if you want to hear it. No louder than a personal fan you hang around your neck at an amusement park to cool your fat neck off.

So It's not really louder than the cracking of twigs and leaves?
Thanks for clearing that up I find my neck to be one of my more endearing qualities.

No its pretty quiet. When it takes off there is quite a flame depending on stick size. You think about for a box blind?

Yeah kinda, probably not a good idea to have an open flame in a stand.

You must not be a backpacker. 33oz is way too heavy for me.

that's pretty light for a mini generator/fire pit

Yea I wouldn't put it inside a stand. I like to camp and not backpack with three little ones but carrying it a short distance doesn't appear to be an issue. Not for what it can do I think

That looks pretty nice! That would be nice for short trips but not ideal for long back pack trips when weight is crucial.
I like it

Agreed. My stove and a full can of fuel weighs just shy of 18 oz's.
Eta...definitely like the idea in a bug out situation.
OP....how does it light the twigs? Or do you have to get it lit? Curious about only having wet wood available in the winter time.

They probably figure they're saving you a lot on fuel and it all works out in the end.
I probably spend 80 in fuel canisters a year.

It would be good for base camp if you need to keep things charged. I wouldn't carry that far backpacking. I'll keep my 4oz Vargo hex stove in my pack.

I use one of those sometimes. But rather my handmade alcohol and Vargo wood stove.
