Deep fry that sucker. Very sweet meat once you get thru the bones.

Fried rattle snake? It was good when I tried it. I may have completely misread your post though

We grilled one years ago. My buddy threw it on the pit right on top of the chickens, sausage and ribs . I quickly made room to where it wasn't touching anything else as half the crowd wanted to throw away anything the snake had touchéd. before they ran over to look, I showed them it wasn't touching anything and they were happy. I took it off the fire before it dried up and it was pretty good, really nice white meat. Taste bout like lizard.

My old neighbor (US Forest Ranger) was cleaning a large rattler he had killed that afternoon. I asked him what he planned to do with it. He replied: "Make a belt out of the skin and eat the meat." It's very clean looking meat.

I'd like to try it. Don't see many, usually the only times I see one is when my hay guy says he killed a few, and that's usually a ways after.

I've had fried rattlesnake at a place in Texas, but I've never cooked my own. It was pretty tasty.

I killed two earlier this year and my cousin fried both of them up. Everyone liked the meat. most saying "it taste like chicken" I dont know what he did with the skins, but I hope he preserved them. The biggest had a very nice pattern
