Has anyone been or heard any reports? The wife and I have been wanting to go but the salinity levels around hackberry seem low?

Started going to Toledo when all we were catching was black drum and sheep heads.
Until salinity hits 15-20 im not going back unless my buddy wants to tie off to a tree and waste a few pounds of shrimp and drink beer.

As of last weekend the water is still really muddy. A few people are catching flounder and trout. Not a ton though.

thanks kinda what I figured, cadello is that the magic number? I am a bass fisherman mostly but my wife loves going because she gets to catch instead of fish.

Those are two really nice fish, we had a day like that two years ago 2 over 6 lbs and 8 over4lbs and quite a few 3s.

I've been fishing Big lake a while. When the water was 10-15 at Prein the fish were stacked around there. We were catchng limits everyday and usually by 10AM.
Some days we would head to Sabine and catch a limit of bass too. That's the reason I bought my bay boat.
These last couple of years have been tough, although last year we made a few good trout trips.
I don't like the drive to Toledo, but the lake is magical. I love being there even when the fish aren't biting good. It's he best place to be when I want to relax.
