Ok. I poured about a gallon of gas down there. If they're still alive, I'll try that.

Did you follow that up with a lit match?

My wife once lit a gasoline -soaked ant pile right up against the house. Melted the vinyl siding about 4 feet up the wall and around 6 feet wide.

Lol nice.

If this were in an open field, maybe. But the hole is up against the fence.

I would imagine they are already in the ground, OP wants to kill them.

Just go buy some wasp spray. That stuff shoots out a good 15 ft. stream and kills in seconds once the nest is hit. It allows you to be far enough away from the nest to not be stung.

I've used this product many times when getting ready to prep a house to paint and yellow jackets have nests built in the overhangs.

Got to deal with one this morning myself. Will use my backhoe and just dig them SOB's up and flip the dirt on top of them.

Careful with that. I watched a guy digging a trench with a backhoe hit a ground wasp nest and they ran him off his machine with several stings to take with him.

He wound up backing up the machine and getting gasoline to take care of the nest area since it was exposed.

It's a extendahoe. I have a 26' reach. Was digging around them the last couple days finishing up installing a treatment plant.

Had this problem last year. It was too hard to get close as they were consistently flying out even on cold days. Sprayed about 4 cans of wasp spray in all exit holes within 2 weekends. They ended up making a 3 ft diameter hole trying to get around the spray but they all died.

Got popped about 9x a few weeks ago on a trackhoe.... I always let them settle down, show me the hole, then use a 20z bottle of diesel. Shove the spout down in the hole and problem solved in a few seconds.

Wasp spray does not kill them... atleast the kind I was using.

I’ve heard of a bucket of dawn/water with some cheap meat hanging with only an inch showing above the water. They bite off too much and fall into the water.

I’ve also heard blaring Creed into the hole works

YouTube is wonderful

I use the method that Lewis Miller recommended a good while back. Mix up a bucket of insecticide, almost anything. Get a headlamp and go at night. Quickly pour bucket over hole and leave bucket upside down over the hole. Run.

It's worked perfectly 4/4 times.

2 liter Pepsi bottle filled with gas or diesel fuel. Wait until nightfall, ease over there, turn the Pepsi bottle over quickly and stuff it in th hole. Nest day there will be many dead. If there is a second hole they will be hovering there. Wait till nightfall and repeat the Pepsi bottle process. 2 days and they be daid.
