I'll take a dump in the middle of this too and just say, the bunks have a lot of flex and the boat does move a good bit on the trailer as well.

Re read the thread. I've tried, and while my explaining may suck, it's not that difficult.

Did you miss the part about strapping the back of the boat to the trailer to eliminate movement?

Maybe you should have taught Common Sense at ULM...

Wow, you people have to stop with this nonsense. So strapping the boat means the 1500lbs on a few 2x4's keeps it from moving any? Please explain.

Follow a bass boat using a standard transom saver down a bumpy road, then follow one with a Lock-N-Stow, Motormate, Lock-n-Haul etc. These new ones "lock" the motor and boat into one unit. Bracing to the trailer puts all the stress from bumps to the motor. Either works but in my experience the newer ones work MUCH better.

Those idiots even know

Langston, really??? Do I need to provide a drawing? If you secure a boat to a trailer at 3 points, IT. IS. NOT. MOVING. I could strap a popcorn fart to a flatbed if I had 3 binding points......

Wow man. draw all you want but pull a boat for 25 years or maybe just 5 and tell me. Have you ever changed the boards on a trailer. The aren't bullet proof and will give when you hit a bump. You are only straping it down not up and down to keep it from giving in the downward motion.

I would argue the boat on the board thing way more than the transom. any boating experience and a little common sense could see that.

Let me put it this way, strap a boat down on 3 points to a trampoline and it will bounce down and up still. The 2x4's or 6's are way better but still give quite a bit between the supports.

I follow my boat a lot since my wife pulls it and that scares the shite out of me. It doesn't move at all. If it did, either my straps would pop, or the buckles would bend/shatter.
