They are great tools and the lifetime warranties are great.

Has anybody actually used the Rigid warranty? If so how did it go?

I seem to get burned by these cordless tools. The support dies for the newer battery technology rendering my perfectly working tool worthless.

Own Bosch 3/8", 1/2" cordless drills and 1/4" impact driver. Had Ryobi, really crappy. Also have a 7 1/4" Skilsaw and a DeWalt corded drill.

but the chuck slips like crazy

Probably because you aren't locking it down enough. Properly done the chuck will tear metal off the bit shank snap it off before slipping.

There are companies that rebuild battery packs. I had one rebuild two of the 14.4V DeWalt packs for the drill/impact driver set I gave to my gf, work better and last longer than factory batteries for the same price.

I love my Milwaukee tools. Batteries last forever. I also have a rigid sawzall that I love. I have some ryobi stuff and it's just heavier and batteries are shite.

I use 18v Milwaukee on the farm and have never had a reason to try anything else. The 1/2" impact gets used everyday. Also have 1/2" hammer drills, skillsaw, angle drill, and sawzall.
Almost forgot about the grease gun and it is probably my favorite out of all the tools.

DeWalt power tools are pretty consistently better overall for not much more money. Look at the specs and you'll generally see more, ie higher RPM, torque, volts, etc...

They also have nice ergo and good triggers. For example, a Bosch oscillating multi tool in the $100 range has a simple on/off switch while the DeWalt has a speed metering trigger. Their parts network isn't half bad either.

I highly recommend them for more mainstream power tools.

It was for my Dad's funeral. He was cremated

The funeral guy told me people like to see a coffin at a funeral. Me being young and handling my first arrangements, I agreed. $450 got er done.

When I get to Heaven and see the old man I expect he'll say, " Son, $450 woulda bought an assload of Scotch ".

I used to use a Ryobi one at work, and Jesus Christ do those things save time

The motor grader I ran would take about an hour to grease once every two weeks. Using the battery powered gun, it knocked that down to like 15 minutes
