Did you have the Sony system with the subwoofer? If so, prayers sent. Not as easy as just throwing a new headunit in.

Do it yourself. Really easy, unless you have a fancy factory system.
You can even buy used factory units on the Internet. Then it's super easy.
If you're looking for a unit. I have a nav/dvd/bluetooth I would sell for a great price.

Any place will do it. It's something they do every day. Just call around for prices

I have the bare bones unit not wanting to spend a lot just need a radio

Well, you're gonna need a dash kit and a harness probably, so factor another $100-150 into the cost

Get a take out ford stock unit on ebay is probably the cheapest route. Aftermarket will need a harness, and an adapter. May need additional stuff if you want to keep steering wheel controls and sync

Its seriously an easy job. I started doing installs at 13. Just look up YouTube videos and go buy you a $80 deck from Walmart, a dash kit, and wiring harness.

I would say ebay is your easiest/cheapest route.
Without knowing the year/model, here is a search of f-150 oem radios. No dash kit, no wiring harness needed. After watching a video on how to take your old ones out, it should take 10 minutes to switch out.

Get a used stock unit off the interwebs. Google how to take the old radio out as I'm sure there are no less then 10 vids on YouTube. Plug the new one in.
Like others have said, aftermarket will require some additional purchases to maintain the stock features from ford.

I replaced mine in my Tundra this past Christmas. Went to Best Buy, told them which unit I wanted, the make and model of my truck and they gave me everything I needed for the install. My son and I installed it in about 2 hours. First time I ever replaced a unit and it was very easy. This is coming from a guy that has very little common sense (and patience) when dealing with stuff like that.

I'd just pull out the old one and put the replacement right there in the dash.
