looking for a new 18-20' duck boat with a 35 hp surface drive. (Prefer pro drive).

What are the best dealerships around south la that deal with duck boats?

May wanna save yourself some money and look at Craigslist. If you're willing to make the drive, you may save yourself thousands. Good luck

ETA just thumbing through CL, found this one. Not sure if this is he best price because I don't know surface drives.

Bought our Prodrive at H&H Marine in Houma. No complaints. Prices are all pretty similar so we just bought it near where we hunt/fish.

I like GatorTrax, but I don't think they deal with PDs

These are listed as dealers, presumably close to you:

BOATS UNLIMITED OF LOUISIANA
7035 Airline Hwy.
Baton Rouge, LA 70805
225-357-3118

SAGONA'S HARDWARE
6188 Hwy. 1
Paincourtville, La. 70391

Nick with shallow water customs! Best boats around and can build your boat just the way you want it for half the price of some of these other boats named. Check him out. LINK

Go to mudmotortalk.com and get all the duck boat info you could ever want. Personally I'd go with a custom builder and buy the engine straight from PD.

Think about repair/warranty work, how far are you willing to drive? I would narrow down the search to plus minus a 60 minute drive.

Just come to Monroe / West Monroe

You can get a steal on a slightly used duck boat - all the wanna be commanders have them for sale on the side of the roads!

If I were doing it over again I'd get a prodigy. Chad is a south LA guy that lives and builds boats in north Georgia. I think Boat Dr in NEw Orleans area is a dealer. Check their FB page and website. Would definitely stick with one of the LA based motor brands for customer service and local help when/if needed.

Definitely check out mudmotortalk.com for all the info and BS that you can stand. I was in there for about 6mths bf we bought a rig.

MarshMan is right about nick at SWC building some awesome boats. I think his hull is hard to beat and his prices are great. He isn't a dealer for motors or trailers so you gotta get them seperate, but he can help get it all lined up. And he'll rig em up. His paint jobs are bad a$$ as well. And like marsh man said, gettin your boat built the way you want is the way to go.
