Hey I have a few of them for zombie Apocalypse. The ten point is the best. They are better than Barnett. They have a a cheaper model that is about 300 bucks. angry:

The Handicap3000 is a good model. Also look into the Paraplegic256...

Do I get a pass if I use mine all season, not just during primitive?
For using a rifle during rifle season... sure, but during "muzzleloader" season

I thought this was clear yesterday... old with a bum shoulder and terminator neck gets a pass... if you continue to use the crossbow during modern rifle season...

Na I don't bow hunt I just sit in my warm box stand and shoot them in the head over corn - I just think it is funny that the almightys come out in these threads because they are such bad arse bow hunters and no one works as hard as someone that bow hunts we all know that...who gives a shite if someone uses a cross bow at least they are outdoors doing something they enjoy.

This.

Why get mad at someone for doing something they are well within the law to do? It doesn't cheapen your accomplishment when you kill a deer with a "real" bow just because someone else kills one with a crossbow. You guys act like the crossbow gives you such a huge advantage that it is like hunting with a rifle. That opinion couldn't be further from the truth.

I'm mad at the agencies for changing the law allowing anyone besides the physically disabled and those over a certain age to hunt with them.

Here's the irony... I'm in my late 20's and my generation gets accused of not knowing what it's like to truly have to get in there and hunt. All we do is play on our electronic devices in box stands while hunting over food plots. There have been huge technological advances in all facets of hunting, trail cameras, optics, off the shelf firearms that can shoot 500 yards accurately. I want to preserve what little bit of a primitive weapons season is left. Now anyone who doesn't do the work (not an accusation just a statement) can climb in a box stand and shoot their sighted in crossbow.

Okay... let's look at the differences...
Can you prop up a crossbow on a hand rail like you would a rifle to steady your aim?
Can you do the same with a bow?
Is it more accurate to freehand shoot or to use the aid of a support?
Does this new gain in accuracy by using a support make it easier to shoot at distances?
Is it easier to shoot with the aid of a scope than with pins?
Once the crossbow is cocked and loaded how much movement is involved before pulling the trigger?

Oh and ETA:

Why? It seems like there are much more important things to get mad about.

People getting all worked up over some damn crossbows seems so petty.

Why should I give a rat's arse what tool another man uses to harvest deer? Do you somehow feel we owe it to the deer to shoot them with a compound bow?

You want to preserve primitive - put down your compound and hunt with a recurve .
