Interested in getting a .22 with a suppressor but don’t know much about the suppressor side. What brands would y’all recommend for suppressor and does rifle brand matter when it comes to suppressors? Just something to mess around with. Thanks for any info!

A bolt action will be quieter than a semiauto.

Brand of rifle shouldn't matter.

Any 22 suppressor will bring a smile to your face. I'll let the others discuss, but I have a cheap red jacket 22 suppressor and it's so much fun I can't believe I waited that long to get one.

I have a ruger 10/22 with a magpul hunter x-22 stock and a green mountain threaded barrel. i'm glad you started this thread, i'm in the market for a suppressor too.

I have a 10/22 with Tactical Solutions barrel and a Hogue overmold stock.
Suppressor is a Sure-fire Ryder 22a. It’ll put a stupid smile on your face with one shot.

While I live the sure-fire I would not get another with aluminum baffles. They’re a bitch to clean. I really want a Q El Camino. Suppose to be the best right now.

I will say that you have to use sub-Sonics out of a rifle otherwise you have a crack. Now if you want quiet use it with a pistol. I have a Browning buckmark but the really fun one is a S&W M&P compact .22.

Same set up, but with a Dead Air Mask. Very fun to shoot, she’s a tack driver. Stupid quiet with the Mask and CCI standard velocity. I have a Sparrow also, but it can’t compare to the Mask. It’s basically a paper weight at this point.

I went with the Ruger breakdown that comes with the threaded fluted barrel. I have the SiCo Sparrow suppressor. Like everyone else said it's stupid quite. I didn't think I would like the breakdown 10/22 as much as I do. They are legit.

I have a takedown 10/22 and I want to add a threaded barrel to it, as well as add a SR22 pistol (threaded) for a bug out bag set up. I waited too long to set up my NFA trust - it will probably have to wait until 2019, now, but I'm also interested in adding a suppressor to this kit - one that will fit both weapons.

i have a 10/22 takedown with a tac. sol. 11" barrel that i use with my silencerco sparrow. It's my ultimate shite hit the fan, gotta go gun. But really I just like the way it shoots. They are def. quieter on a boltgun.

Now putting it on a .22 pistol is so freaking fun, it should be outlawed.

I have a setup very similiar to this with a silencerco Spectre II. 4.5 inch ADCO barrel makes regular .22 subsonic. I don't need subs for it to be super quiet. Its accurate as hell and my kids love shooting it.

Do you need a stamp for a .22 suppressor? I didn't think you did.

If not, that's news to me.

My head wishes you didn't but my wallet is glad you do. If you didn't have to have a stamp and the wait I would probably have 7-8 more .22 suppressors.

Thanks. I am looking at 10/22 with dead air mask

Does it really take upwards of a year to get the license/stamp for the suppressor? Can I request more than one stamp just in case I want a future suppressor?

Certainly the "subsonic" rounds will be more quiet than "high velocity" rounds, but "standard velocity" rounds (1070 fps) will also be subsonic (speed of sound is 1125 fps). I run CCI Stanard Velocity through my Ruger 10/22. It's very accurate. Compared to sub sonic loads, it will reliably work the action and is less expensive.
