Beretta 8040f...?

Buddy of mine's relative is selling one and my buddy text me. He doesn't shoot hand guns but knows I collect.
Anyone know anything about it? Guy is asking $350 for it. Said its never been fired and comes with 2 mags and box, Manuel, etc
I have a 92fs which I like but don't know anything about an 8040...tia

Any idea if it's made by cougar or stoeger?

I maybe and am probably wrong but I want to say that those are not all that reliable. Again I could be wrong.

The box appears to say beretta cougar and I just assmumed it was 40 cal but that shows how little I know about them.

After looking at it a little more I think they are all as you assumed .40.
I really don't know a lot about them and as I said I could easily be thinking about another gun.

Buy it. I always wanted an 8000 series in 9mm, but new or unfired, they are getting expensive. That's a good deal.

The Beretta Cougar (8000 series) is what the PX4 Storm is based on. It has the original rotating barrel and slide mounted safety but sits on a metal frame instead of a polymer one.
They are very smooth shooting guns and are not produced by Beretta anymore. If you can get a good deal on one with the Beretta name, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Haha, well thanks for the recs. I called my buddy this am and he just heard back from the seller and it was already sold. Oh well. Thanks anyway guys.
