I moved to Evans ga last year. Asking around Beaufort seems to be the closest place with some good fishing.

Lived there several summers in Hilton head.
There are specs on the front of the island off the beach in the summer and reds in the marsh.
Crab traps catch stone crabs and blue crabs.
Also lots of little sharks and big sharks, and you can get some decent stuff offshore on some reefs.
Flounder gigging at night from flats boats can be fun too.
