Arctotherium, an extinct species, grew to 3500 pounds.

There's also a photo of a man standing next to a 2100 pound polar bear he bagged in 1960.

That's a bigass polar bear. I've seen a couple 1,100 lb brown bears and they are dwarfs compared to that guy

It's not a supernatural monster. An accurate head or heart shot should do the trick.

I'm against hunting bears in this modern world, especially over bait which is the way most hunters do it.

I can understand deer hunting. It would be an ecological disaster not to control the deer population. But I don't think it's necessary to have a hunting season on bears, aside from taking care of problem individuals.

I plan to do a bear hunt, although friend from Maine said he watched his dad skin a bear as a kid and he will never hunt them.

Said when he was helping skin it it looked too much like a person and human anatomy that he was learning about in his 6 or 7th grade science classes.
