Any of you guys been bass fishing lately in Bayou Black? It has been a few weeks since I have made my way out there. Debating on launching at Canon's and fishing that area or launching at Bob's and going down the Copasaw into Huth's canal.

we went this morning and it was very slow.

Swapped to sac-a-lait and it was the same. Caught about 8-10 fish total. It was very windy this morning though. Tough to find some good conditions.

Where did yall go?

I know the wind is supposed to still be blowing tomorrow so I'm heading to some dead end canals.

Dropping off the noodles first, then heading out for the bass or sac-a-lait.

I will never launch at canons again- eased out toward IC canal and before I could get there I hit an underground stump and tore the crap out of my lower unit- Insurance paid up but the boat set in the shop for a month!

We launched by don's and found some dead end canals. Looks like the cold weather had the fish with lock jaw. Hope you have better luck than we did.

756 I have never had a problem at Canon's. I live like 5 minutes from there and use the launch a good bit.

We launched at Bobs this am. Fished around turtle bayou. 22 keepers and a bunch of throwbacks. 3 ppl. Everything on spinnerbaits, wouldn't touch anything else. Coulnt fish half the canals because of the wind.
Had a 5lber too.

Caught one bass. Sucked, but always peaceful

I saw the stump you hit. They have a nice one if you are going left out of canons into the ICW.

That rising river didn't muddy everything up in the TB area? I'm sure it's on the way if it hasn't already

About 1/4 of the canals were muddy. The others had really good visibility. I'm sure it'll be a mess by the end of the week. We never got on them good, but caught about 2 in every dead end canal we fished.
