I've got a .410 shell that won't go off. I've tried in 2 different guns with multiple primer strikes. I assume it's just a dud. What should I do with it? Not really comfortable just throwing it away.

Toss in in a fire and move away, not far, the casing will travel further than the pellets.

This.

The kids, and most grownups are amazed at the tiny little thimbleful of lead pellets and how it can break a clay target at 40 yards.
