Nope.

The world does not need another ammo panic. It really brings out the stupid.

See my earlier post. If it gets banned you won't shoot what you have because you have a hoarder mentality. If it doesn't get banned, all you did was frick up the market.

You buying more isn't going to stop shite from getting banned. We had it good and all these tacticool idiots fricked it all up. This shite needs to stop.

To me it falls right into the category with the same people that will walk around open carrying multiple of their investments on them just to prove a point. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

There comes a time where you need to realize that you won't get what you want. Then your next decision will be to join the masses or quit bitching.

I do agree with some things you say, but some people are too hard headed to realize this isn't 5 years ago anymore...certain calibers are going to be hard to get unless supply/demand pricing economics curbs the hoarding. Do I agree with hoarding just to hoard in case of a ban? No. Do I think some people should have been more prepared? Hell yes. It is a common theme in these threads that the people who are the maddest are the ones who do not have the ammo to shoot.

I'm not joining shite. Somebody around here needs to be on the other side.

Prepared for what? Other people preparing? What are they preparing for?

Stupid people are driving the market for stupid reasons and it pisses me off.

Then my question is this-

If it doesn't affect you, why do you care?

If it does affect you, why don't you do something to fix you situation other than bitch on a message board?

This has somewhere close to zero effect on my life. What it affects is me going buy some bullets to go hunting and having to wade through rows of idiots looking for "two two three" ammo and buying other shite just because it's there.

Who the hell started the .22 bullet shite anyway? Nobody ever mentioned banning them. People just found out other people were buying them so they started buying them and next thing you know people have to stockpile ammo to shoot occasionally.

Why?????? Quit buying the shite and it'll be like the old days again when you can buy 500 .22 bullets for $18 at Walmart and shoot them all that day. Why are people with 20k rounds of ammo still buying ammo?

What am I ill prepared for?

Sans shotgun shells, It'll take me 10 years to shoot the ammo I've got.

When it's going to be bad is when the .22 bullet effect happens to shotgun shells.

At that point, downshift will loose it and start kicking arse.

You seem to be ignoring the fact thst guns of have sold in record numbers since 2008, many of them .22, many of them first time gun owners. Even without the 'hoarding,' demand has increased.

Availability at Walmart seems to be the issue for most people complaing about the situation.

Then why are you bitching? You apparently have all the ammo you (think) you need, so you have that angle covered.

You apparently don't feel the need to go out and buy more ammo, but you bitch about people who are looking for some for themselves.

And I doubt seriously we'll ever have to worry about shotgun shells. Even during the height of the panic, they were all you could find in most stores, there was plenty of it everywhere.

Maybe I've been reading wrong, but it looks to me like this is a pretty great place to bitch about people doing shite you don't agree with.

Hoarders and stockpiles have fricked up the market and they should be shunned and looked down upon for doing it. There seems to be plenty here, so here's where I'll do it until somebody in real life tells me they have 25k rounds of .22 bullets in their closet.

I will say i have seen .22 on the shelves at wal-mart which was bricks, buckets, and 100 packs. They usually last a few hrs definitely not the rush or standing in line to buy like this time last year.

As others have said here, the real cause of the problem is that the ammo retailers are still getting .22 at a fairly low cost. If the producers were to increase their prices at least temporarily, you wouldn't see the cavalier attitude that retailers like WalMart and Academy have about ammo going out the back door. That is on the neckbearders and the retailers, not people who are just trying to get some ammo.

You are exactly right, however most people don't understand that increased prices in a time of shortage are a GOOD thing.

Plenty of ammo out there if you look and are willing to pay. I have received 4-5 emails from slickguns since yesterday for affordable .22 ammo.
