Got $700 in Bass Pro gift cards. Would you use them on 128T for trout fishing in the bay? What is Yak Pro electrical system? I am assuming pre-wired for depth finder?

Save $2,000 more and get the FD instead! Jk. I'm assuming it's the depthfinder/gps wiring system. It would be totally fine in a bay. Just no your limits and watch the weather. Getting caught in a storm in open water isn't fun. Try to partner up if you can and always wear your pfd.

This is the kayak I plan to get next. I only fish small lakes and want something to stand up in. The yak power system is an electrical controller that is mounted inside the hull, and it has the wiring ran to 5 sockets around the boat. It's for lighting, depth finds, anything you would run on a 12v battery. There's also a switch to turn the ports on and off. Seems to be a very convenient system, with it being pre-installed. I spent a ton of time wiring my last one, but that was part of the fun.

My 2nd yak was a 128T. Every gripe I had about my boat was addressed in the new model. I upgraded to a KC but I do miss the layout and deck space of the 128t. It's not a great paddle but as far as a fishing platform, it's awesome. So much room for coolers and gear. People complain about the weight but I've transported all my yaks with a truck bed extender and scupper wheels. Really easy to load/unload. If you were putting it on top of a car, may be difficult.

ETA- If my yak budget was in the $800s, I'd pick between a 128t, pescador pro, or vibe sea ghost. If I had bass pro gift cards, it would be hard to go against the ascend.

Won't be easy to get for a while. They'll have to fill the pre-orders first.
