Does anyone lease their land for hunting? I dont have the time to hunt this year. Was wondering if I could put out an add for hunters. And yes I know its late in the season. If so whats a legit price range?

$25 per acre is the official annual lease market value for that area.

So that barely pays the property tax. Need to lease to a couple folks.

then the $25 will be split up between several, each person won't pay 25. so if you get 4, its still $25 per acre, not $100

yep, i wasn't liking the rent for my single family home i have rented. Wasn't making enough money neither. So i rented out to 2 families. They didn't like it at first but then started to frick each other so it ended up working quite well.

Not worth the hassel. Plus, if you're not there, there's some a-hole already hunting it for free anyway.

I lease out a 40 acre place for $800, so $20/acre*. This is in MS, surrounded by Desoto NF and has a little shack for a camp.

Try Craigsist and see what happens.

* - I actually gave it to him for half price this year because of the way a timber thinning messed up his season last year.

For the rest of the season, you probably aren't going to touch $20 an acre...

does the lease give the lessee access to the property whenever they want or just during season? i don't really hunt, but wouldn't mind paying for a place to just go shoot guns without having to go to a range.
